New York Times – Giving The Public A Voice On It’s Homepage?

The New York Times was caught testing a new feature on their homepage today.

The newspaper was toying with giving readers the ability to comment on headline news, with the verbiage being present on the Times’ homepage.

I mean its clear that newspapers are recognizing that readers want to interact with their websites, but they have never hinted at relinquishing ownership of headline news to the public.

Very impressive. Very forward thinking and entertaining.
