Internet Continues to Rise in News Consumption Popularity
In a report released by Pew Research Center this month, we further see the rise of the Internet as being a leading source of news content for adults. The main research points gathered in the Pew study were the following:
- 40 per cent of respondents said the Internet is their primary source for national and international news
- 35 per cent rely on newspapers
- 70 per cent use television as their main source
Although we find Pew analysis of national and international news consumption fascinating, we still think its necessary to include local news in the analysis to get a true picture for newspapers, local radio and television.
