National Post to Publish Fewer Days
We’ve seen many newspapers take extreme measures to manage costs and stay afloat over the past two years. Some have permanently lessened circulation dates, some have gone purely digital, while some have closed all together. It is in light of is that we see the National Post announce that they are moving to a Tuesday to Saturday press run as of July 5th.
The press run changes are to last through to Labour Day weekend and it is a wise move considering the Canwest sale that occurred just last month. The newspaper group promised a corporate commitment to a digital presence, promoting longevity for their brands. Moves, such as this one being taken by the Post, is a good example of clear corporate responsibility.
