If You’ve Erected a Pay Wall to Your News Make Sure the Content can be Found

Techdirt published a funny story today about a mix-up on the Times Online site – yes the one with all the pay wall hoopla.  Nonetheless, the piece featured poor html code that was supposed to take subscribers to a deep and rich article, but due to poor html, readers received a ‘page not found’ error.  The actual link published on the site this morning was http://http://www.thetimes.co.uk/etc… (see the url at the bottom of this image).

All this to say that if you want people to pay to read your content, you had better be sure it is in tip top form.  The many who do not agree with the pay wall concept are watching!
